The above-ground construction added another 18 months, but the result is a masterpiece of design and craftsmanship. The Hoseasons expanded on Hulena’s original vision, adding an office wing and a principal bedroom wing, both wrapping around a west-facing courtyard. The main living areas, kitchen, and swimming pool offer 260-degree views of the Waitakere Ranges and Little Barrier Te Hauturu-o-Toi, while luxury finishes like honed basalt walls and pale oak flooring elevate the space.

Here’s a bold statement: Even the cars get a view in this house. The glass-walled garage, capable of housing six to seven vehicles, has caught the eye of car collectors. But is this level of opulence justified? Hoseason argues that the $17,000 per square meter build cost, coupled with the $6 million land value, makes the $32 million price tag reasonable.
